OUR CORE VALUES - What We Believe

About the Scriptures
~ We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God. (Ref. 2 Timothy 3:16 & 17)

~ About God
We believe in one God who created all things and exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Ref. Genesis 1.1 & Romans 1.4, 5.5)

~ About Humanity
We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts. (Ref. Genesis 1:27, Ephesians 2:6 to 8)

~ About Salvation
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, was for the forgiveness of sin. Salvation is by God’s grace alone to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. (Ref. John 3:16, Romans 5:8 to 10)

~ About the Christian Life
We believe all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ. (Ref. Mark 12.29-31)

~ About the Church
We believe that the church is not a building but a group of believers gathering together as the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to the lost world and to encourage and equip all believers in their faith. (Ref. 1 Corinthians 12:27, Hebrews 10:23 to 25)

~ About Satan
We believe in the reality of Satan as God's enemy and his ability to tempt and deceive human beings to sin and rebel against God. Ultimately however, Satan will be defeated by God.
(Ref. Genesis 3,1-7 & 2 Corinthians 4,3-5, Revelation 20:10 to 15)
